Space + Energy + Activity + Love + Delicious Cake = a Spectacular Birthday!

The Painted Pomegranate has held several birthday parties during the first month of its opening. Each party, with its unique flair, has stood aside from the average child’s birthday celebration. After careful pondering, and with great enthusiasm, I believe that I have been able to answer the lingering question: what is it exactly that makes a Painted Pomegranate party so spectacular?

Space. The ambiance of a party is not only of great physical and practical
significance, but it lends to a particular mood set. The Pomegranate room maintains a fun and playful quality designed with creative play in mind, overturning the conventional primary color disaster that was once believed to support a creative atmosphere for children.

The space has an open organic feel full of warm colors and images from nature, and allows children to move freely from station to station. With our children’s days so tightly packed with routine and schedule during the workweek, we love to enable a free play setting during our parties. The children enter a room of world music and natural light, and are introduced to the party excitement via the smiling face and greetings from the birthday boy or girl.

Energy. This part is simple. Children’s energy levels are comparable to those of telephone poll transformers. If an adult’s energy has skyrocketed and frayed, a child’s will follow. Our staff loves to throw a party, and their love and knowledge of children’s developmental levels and needs shines through. At The Pom, we select our employees after carefully monitoring of their ‘party animal abilities.’ If they know how to be an inviting host/hostess, they are in.

Activity. Each party at The Pom is themed to celebrate the child’s spirit, and each party is absolutely unique. If a child is a little scientist, we will build volcanoes; if the artistic urge is paramount, we will paint! We also plan plenty of activities based on the selected theme. We have gone Batman bowling, and played butterfly Pictionary.

Love. We have a little tradition at The Pom. As we cut the birthday cake and serve each piece, we ask each guest to share something that they enjoy about the birthday child or a memory of the child. What could be more loving than that?

Altogether, a perfect child’s birthday party must truly celebrate the spirit of the birthday child. As parents, we acknowledge our child’s new year, and the milestones that our little ones have reached. The child, however, lives in the moment. At The Pomegranate, we strive to achieve a spectacular party - each and every time!
