What You May or May Not Know About Heart Disease
Risk factors include high Cholesterol, high BP, Diabetes, Smoking, chronic Stress, Obesity and Family history, but the good news is 80 percent of cardiovascular diseases may be preventable with education and action as exercise, diet and everyday behavior can play a significant role.
SUNDAY, February 10 from 11 - 11:45 AM

This lecture is designed to help you train smarter and safer, and to offer support within our scope of practice as fitness professionals - not to give you medical advice.
Your heart is a muscle after all and physical activity that elevates your heart rate can be a major factor in prevention of CVD
Some common medications can have an effect on your heart rate when exercising, a ‘basic’ understanding of this along with your doctor’s recommendations is important
For safe and effective workouts, there are ranges of intensity to be aware of within your individual health profile
