On Sunday March 30, 2017 Music & More in Chester, CT warmly welcomes the return of pianist Dalia Lazar. At present, Dalia is preparing, concertizing and recording the 32 Sonatas of Beethoven, an especially personal project for her. She will preview several of these sonatas for us in advance of her summer concert tour of Europe. Dalia has received international acclaim by critics. “Such noble playing,” (Yediot Achronot, Tel Aviv),  “un sentimento profundo” (Panorama, Venezuela), “virtuosismo y impecable fraseo” (El Nacional, Venezuela), “that rare combination of charisma, personality and terrific pianistic facility” (pianist Tzimon Barto), and “...an inspiring display of musical excellence”  (Daily Republic).

The first time that Dalia Lazar performed at Music & More in 2013, she made certain to involve the local community in a way no performer had before her. Her entire outfit – the shimmery silver dress and the jewelry she wore came from Chester merchants and artisans. All of the merchants came to applaud the way Dalia plays the classics with warmth and singular interpretation. The Beethoven Project is supported by the Lazar Foundation, a nonprofit organization, funded by Dalia’s audience, friends, and music lovers to promote and support her performances. If you would consider adding your support for concerts like this one, Dalia would be very thankful.
