Our community takes its responsibility to the collective memory of the Holocaust seriously. In keeping with the annual observance of Yom Hashoah, we will gather at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Tower One/Tower East, 18 Tower Lane, New Haven, CT.

We are very pleased to share the news that our featured speaker will be Shelly Tenenbaum, PhD.  In addition to being the cousin of our own Doris Zelinsky, Ms. Tenenbaum is a professor at Clark University and the coordinator of undergraduate activities for the Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies.  Her research centers on ethnic enterprise, mutual aid, gender, education and identity which intersects with the sociology of American Jews and historical sociology. She teaches in the areas of race and ethnicity, Jewish Studies, comparative genocide and social stratification.

Please note that all events offered by the Jewish Federation, Foundation, and JCC of Greater New Haven may include photography.
