Quinnipiac University’s Albert Schweitzer Institute, the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven, and The Peter C Hereld House for Jewish Life cordially invite you to a presentation by Nitsan Joy Gordon entitled:

“Creating Safe Spaces to Feel": A Talk on Working with Trauma in the Midst of War”

Based on Nitsan’s recent book: Together Beyond Words: Women on a Quest for Peace in the Middle East

Wednesday, November 8, CCE101 (Mt. Carmel Auditorium) from 7:00-8:15 p.m.

The Presentation will address:
• The role of unhealed trauma in perpetuating conflict.
• How we transform pain and legacy burdens into understanding, empathy, and a desire to work together for change?
• How can we have our conflicts while strengthening our connection?
• What tools can help people from opposite sides of a conflict speak to one another from an open-hearted place?
