Register in advance. During the week of Tu B’Shvat, join Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County CEO David Weisberg for a special conversation with Dr. Elaine Solowey and David Lehrer of the Arava Institute in Israel to learn about the miracle story of how scientists at the Institute brought back to life the long-extinct native Judaean Date Palm and its biblical fruit.

Tu-B'shvat literally means the 15th day in the month of Shvat and it's the date Jewish people celebrate the birthday of the trees. it's customary to plant trees and eat tree nuts and dried fruit.
