Beckerman Author series Marc Wortman: Admiral Rickover: Engineer of Power

Register now. Renowned historian and New Haven resident Marc Wortman will speak about his latest book, Admiral Hyman Rickover: Engineer of Power. In his exciting new biography, Wortman explores the life of the man known as the "Father of the Nuclear Navy." A Jew born in a Polish shtetl, Rickover ultimately became the longest-serving U.S. military officer in history. Rickover faced and provoked constant conflict, revolutionizing the navy and Cold War strategy.

On-site dessert social at 7:00 pm presentation starts at 7:30 pm. Program also available via zoom. Registration for this program is $5 or free with on-site purchase of the book.
