Artwork produced by over a dozen BEKI visual artists will adorn the synagogue’s gallery walls during this year’s High Holy Day season, representing a variety of styles and perspectives that reflect the creative depth of the congregation. The exhibit will run from September 20 through November 17.

The exhibition will include David Chorney’s unique portraiture, Diane Krevolin’s dynamic quilts, Karen Kassap’s mythological images, and Diana Firestone’s multi-colored collages. Mary Lesser will display one of her iconic immigrant portraits. Also included in the exhibit will be Peg Olin’s series of haunting tree photographs, Beth Weintraub’s nature-based collages, Cynthia Rubin’s colorful marine-themed prints, and Dan Weintraub’s studied oil paintings. Rounding out the exhibit will be Susan Dardik’s eclectic set of pictures, Betsy Ratner’s playful collages, Julie Leviter’s Pop-Art inspired paintings, Eve Garrick Zelinksy’s intricate needlepoint, and Helen Rosenberg’s self-portrait-in-motion.
