Author Kelsey Osgood will discuss her new book Godstruck: Seven Women's Unexpected Journeys to Religious Conversion, about her own spiritual journey and conversion to Judaism as well as the experiences of 6 other women who convert to Quakerism, Evangelicalism, Mormonism, Islam, Amish Church, and Catholicism.
“Each of the women’s stories, while wildly different, share a basic quest for meaning and for the Divine. Osgood extrapolates on each of them to share her own conversion to Orthodox Judaism. As a result, the stories are braided like a challah, each individual strand wrapped up with and connected to the others,” according to the Jewish Book Council.
A light breakfast will be served at 10:30 am, followed by the talk from 11am to 12 noon. Books will be available for sale and signing.
