On the day after Shavuot, which is the holiday celebrating the giving of the Torah, artist Yael Kanarek will present her work on re-gendering the Torah. Feeling that this sacred book was written from men’s experiences and perspectives, responding to the void of sacred text centered in L'shon Isha (woman's language), she reversed the genders of all biblical characters so that familiar stories now are read through a lineage of mothers and daughters. Join us to see what she created. To request the Zoom link, email office@beki.org
