With the Jewish Historical Society of Greater New Haven, BEKI will show the movie Pride, Honor & Courage: Jewish Women Remember WWII, produced by the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Hartford. The snow date is Feb 2. This 41-minute documentary uses oral history interviews with seven local women whose lives were changed by the war. Their stories relate the many ways American women contributed to the war effort—from running the family business and managing home front challenges to serving in the Navy's WAVES and working in factories as "Rosie the Riveters."
