jHaven Tu B'shvat Seder

1:00PM - 2:00PM

Zoom

Register in advance. Join jHaven for a special “seder” to celebrate Tu B'shvat, the Jewish “new year for trees,” and explore its contemporary relevance to our lives and community.

What is a Tu Bishevat seder? It is a Kabbalistic tradition based on the Pesach seder that helps us to explore our connectionto the land, to our communities, to the world/each other and to ourselves — all through the medium of food, wine andconversation. We will also take this opportunity to explore our community’s responsibilities around issues ofenvironmentalism and sustainability, and ways we can commit to a “greening” our community for the future.

Participants who register by Friday, January 7** will receive a FREE gift bag, complete with all the ingredients you’ll need to participate in the seder remotely: two small bottles of kosher wine or grape juice (one red, one white), fresh fruits and nuts, a copy of the “haggadah” and some added surprises!

Please note that all events offered by the Jewish Federation, Foundation, and JCC of Greater New Haven may include photography.
