The Fifth Paragraph is a theatrical multimedia experience that tells a story of immigration. Based on Olia Toporovsky’s journey to New Haven, CT from the Former Soviet Union, the narrative speaks through the eyes of a ten-year-old girl. The Fifth Paragraph (Пятая графа) was the line in the former Soviet Union passports that identified different ethnic groups and nationalities for the purpose of discrimination.

This performance combines video installation, live music, and interactive theater. This powerful performance features Justin Carroll on piano and Abraham Gomez-Delgado on voice, guitar, and percussion.
