Mitzvah is showing kindness to those in need whether through seeking social justice or acts of philanthropy. The act of giving help to those who need it most not only builds community but rewards the giver, too.

Jewish Family Service of Greater New Haven

Delivers social services all over greater New Haven including job training, food assistance and programs for adults with developmental disabilities. In cooperation with all the congregational rabbis in our area, JFS's Center for Wellness and Healing hosts support groups for the bereaved, the unemployed and others in need. More on JFS

Cares for more than 375 older adults, including cultural programs, entertainment, learning, and a kosher kitchen. More on The Towers
