Camp Security and Orientation

In preparation for the start of camp on Monday, June 26th, the staff at JCC Day Camps welcomed Michael Butsch from the FBI for a security training session last Thursday evening. Butsch emphasized the importance of being prepared for any potentially unsafe situation. His presentation was embraced fully by the staff, who later discussed the camp’s emergency procedures with Camp Director Debra Kirschner and Assistant Director Alison Lurie.

Following the security training, the camp staff greeted this summer’s campers and their parents at the family orientation, where newcomers were able to get acquainted with the grounds before the start of camp and veteran campers got a chance to meet new friends.
