"Shir Magic" is Temple Emanuel's' Annual Musical Program in memory of Rabbi Jerry Brieger z"l. Brieger was known not only for his vast knowledge of all things Jewish, but also for his sleight of hand tricks and his love of music. He loved to study, to teach and to sing.

Recognized as a “revolutionary educator” and named one of the “new reengineers of Jewish life,” Shira Kline plays worldwide as a performance and ritual artist. She specializes in creative musical worship with adults and children's spirituality. Shira is a co-founder of Lab/Shul NYC where she is the Director of Worship. Temple Emanuel is proud to present Shira’s talents to the wider New Haven Jewish Community with the Shir Magic concert.
