Steve Fleischman, Federation President: Emerging Stronger from Challenges

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” ~ M. Ghandi

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. As I write this, we have just begun the process of COVID-19 vaccination. This global pandemic that has uprooted our everyday activities and restricted our ability to be with one another in person has an end in sight. While I recognize that this will still take months to complete, I am confident that as more and more of our community receives the vaccination, we will continue to feel the mood in our country lift.

I am so proud of the work our Federation has done and continues to do during this time and I feel honored to be a part of it. The Jewish people have always been resilient and our community is no different. We have had a few challenges over the years and, similar to years past, we will emerge from this challenge stronger and poised to thrive.

There are so many amazing people in our community who are doing great work every day. Our agencies are rising to the challenges and delivering much needed services across the board to our community. In addition to our agencies, the stories of so many individuals who stepped up over the last nine months to help one another are truly inspiring. We need everyone to lend a hand as we emerge from this pandemic. I hope we can count on you!

As always, we are here for you. If there is anything you think we could be doing to help our community, we want to hear from you. Please feel free to email me anytime at sjfleischman@gmail.com.

Wishing you all a wonderful 2021,

Steve Fleischman
